Theme Thursday! It’s Movie March, so here’s some fanart for a movie I had the privilege to see recently - RED STATE. Kevin Smith’s latest film is a horror/satire based around a family/cult not unlike the Westboro Baptist Church. I had the opportunity to see a screening of the film and a Q&A with Mr. Smith last week, and absolutely loved it. It’s WAY funnier (and a little scarier) than the teaser trailer lets on. A very unique film. I just drew one still from the teaser trailer since there aren’t many promotional shots to work from for reference.

I tried to focus on getting the line of action and pose correct instead of focusing on the face and other small details, so Tom doesn’t look quite like Tom, but I’m okay with that. My drawings are getting looser every time I practice drawing these poses!

Quick fanart friday — Jay and Silent Bob. I’m a fan of Kevin Smith and I’m actually going to see his Red State U.S.A Tour in March as a birthday gift to myself. Exciting!
I’ll have to do a polished, more than 20 minute drawing of these two sometime — they were fun to draw, but a LOT of mistakes in this. Biggest one? Silent Bob looks tiny in comparison to Jay, but he’s in FRONT of him. Ugh. Practice makes perfect I guess.
It’s Theme Thursday! This month is Futuristic February, so I drew the invention of the future that I want right now: a robot that can make me any food I want on command (drink, too.) Sorta like the drink-making robot from Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, but it actually works (and knows what tea is).

iiiiiiiiiiiiiit’s Fanart Friday! I bring you my childhood obsession, Neopets. Yes, I feel like I’m 10 again. It’s great. Lutaris are clearly the best pets out there because they look like otters, clearly the best animals on Earth.
it’s Theme Thursday, and it’s the start of Futuristic February! I’m celebrating by drawing the mascot of Epcot’s Future World, Figment! The cutest and most annoying dragon in all of Disney World. :)
