30 Day WDW Challenge Day 14: Fav. Animal Kingdom Attraction

It has to be everyone’s favorite part of Animal Kingdom, and it’s mine too: EXPEDITION EVEREST! I don’t like heights during daytime (when I can see just how high up I am) so I was reluctant to go on this ride, but it was definitely more fun and less scary than I imagined.
I love the atmosphere of the queue line (though nowadays I just jump in the single rider line and avoid the super long wait) and the attention to detail and authenticity in the “tour” videos and display cases for the “Yeti Museum”.
The atmosphere and imagineering continues on the ride itself, the climb up the mountain and through a tunnel of ancient-looking sculptures, and into the mountain itself, feels very “real”. And the view to the side where you can see everything (Hey look, it’s Spaceship Earth!) is breathtaking, if not a *little* bit scary for someone like me.
30 Day WDW Challenge Day 13: Fav. Animal Kingdom Area

Asia!
It’s got the best parts of Animal Kingdom. Kali River Rapids (I LOVE getting drenched on this ride on a super hot day), Expedition Everest (so fun!) the Maharajah Jungle Trek featuring giant fruit bats, and Flights of Wonder which is a really cool show with really cool birds. Also, all the little details the imagineers put into everything from the queue lines to the little statues and carvings on every building and piece of stone are marvelous. The imagineering in Animal Kingdom overall is spectacular, but it seems most apparent in Asia that this theme park has an atmosphere unlike any other theme park in the World.
It’s Toon Tuesday! Here’s a few practice sketches I did of Tom, using reference from this lesson: http://johnkstuff.blogspot.com/2006/05/animation-school-lesson-5-line-of.html
I tried to focus on getting the line of action and pose correct instead of focusing on the face and other small details, so Tom doesn’t look quite like Tom, but I’m okay with that. My drawings are getting looser every time I practice drawing these poses!
My Breaking Bad Desktop
I got a request for all sorts of sizes so here they are! Feel free to email me at abaker@adrian.edu if you want a different size, something smaller/larger/different color whatever.
